I was part of the communications team for the 2023 Census, the campaign to count every single New Zealander via the national census.

We knew Harry Styles would need to complete the census for being in New Zealand on Census Day, 7 March 2023; if Harry Styles can do it, so can you. This angle earned national and international news media coverage whenHarry Styles asked the crowd if they had completed the census.

Internally, I supported our Executive Leadership Team and senior leaders with messaging to their departments, and executed internal communications on all-staff communication channels, such as the intranet, live events, and newsletters.

Externally, I worked with journalists to tell stories I cared about, and developed web copy to communicate the value of data to New Zealanders.
